The First Sunday of Advent falls this year on Sunday 30th November. At Mass, we will bless our advent wreath and each week we light a candle. You might like to arrange four candles at home to mark the season as well. The candles can be purple and rose or, if you don't have candles of those colours, you could use four white candles either. Be careful with candles. Don't leave them unattended. If you feel safer using battery operated candles, they can be used to the same effect.
